THE HOLY WAR-The Stakes Are High!
Did you know that both God and Satan have a plan for your life? Let’s examine these plans and see what effect each has on our lives.
God’s Plan For Man
God loves man.
- What does John 3:16 tell you about the extent of God’s love for Man? (God loves the whole world.)
- According to 1 John 4:9-10, what was the greatest manifestation of the love of God that man has ever seen? (God sending His own Son to be the propitiation—or satisfaction—for our sins.)
God offers man blessings in his life.
Read the verses listed below and see what blessing is available to people today because of the love of God.
- John 10:10 (Abundant Life)
- John 15:9-11 (Full, abiding joy)
God has a future plan for man.
Read the following verse and see what they say about what God has planned for His people in the future.
- John 14:2-3 (Christ will return and take us to the place He has prepared for us.)
- 1 John 3:2 (When He appears, we will be like Him.)
Satan’s Plan for man
Satan uses man.
- According to John 13:2, 21-30, Satan used Judas Iscariot.
- What was the end result? Acts 1:16-18 (Judas hanged himself, fell, and his intestines spilled out.)
Satan seeks to destroy man.
- Read Job 2:1-7. How far did Satan want to go in destroying Job? (He wanted to go all the way, taking his life!)
- According to John 8:44, what did Jesus say the Devil was “from the beginning”? (A murderer!)
Satan has no future plan for man.
- Read Revelation 20:7-15. What will be the ultimate fate of all those who follow Satan? (They will cast into the lake of fire!)

THE HOLY WAR
WHY DOES SATAN HATE YOU?
Last week in our Wednesday night lesson on “The Holy War” we learned that Satan’s primary target is the one creature made in God’s image—man. You may ask, “Why does Satan Hate man so much?” Read the following passages and find out for yourself.
Why we have an enemy
“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” –Isaiah 14:12-14
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” –2 Corinthians 4:3-4
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” –1 Peter 5:8-9
Now answer the following Questions:
- What is Satan’s ultimate goal?
- How can “blinding” the unsaved help Satan reach this goal?
- How does devouring the saved aid Satan’s cause?

How to Catch a Monkey

| Native hunters in the jungles of Africa have a clever way of trapping monkeys. They slice a coconut in two, hollow it out, and in one half of the shell cut a hole just big enough for a monkey’s hand to pass through. Then they place an orange in the other coconut half before fastening together the two halves of the coconut shell. Finally, they secure the coconut to a tree with a rope, retreat into the jungle, and wait. Sooner or later, an unsuspecting monkey swings by, smells the delicious orange, and discovers its location inside the coconut. The monkey then slips his hand through the small hole, grasps the orange, and tries to pull it through the hole. Of course, the orange won’t come out; it’s too big for the hole. To no avail the persistent monkey continues to pull and pull, never realizing the danger he is in. While the monkey struggles with the orange, the hunters simply stroll in and capture the monkey by throwing a net over him. As long as the monkey keeps his fist wrapped around the orange, the monkey is trapped. |

Where to Take It from Here… |

| It’s too bad—the poor monkey could save its life if it would only let go of the orange. It rarely occurs to a monkey, however, that it can’t have both the orange and its freedom. That delicious orange becomes a deadly trap. The world sets traps for you that are not unlike the monkey trap. You hear constantly that if you just have enough money, enough stuff, enough power, enough prestige—then you’ll be happy. Under that illusion people spend their whole lives trying to pull the orange out of the coconut. Don’t fall for it. Don’t be trapped by thinking you must have it all. What the world offers appears delicious, but it eventually robs us of our freedom, our happiness, even our lives. |

God’s Plan
Everyone longs to give themselves completely to someone
To have a deep soul relationship with another
To be loved thoroughly and exclusively
But God to a Christian says,
“No, until you are satisfied, fulfilled and content
With living with ME alone
I love you, My Child, and until you are united with Me
Exclusive of anyone, or anything else
Exclusive of any other desire or longing
I want you to stop planning, stop wishing and allow ME to bring it to you……
Just keep watching ME, expecting the greatest things…….
Keep experiencing that satisfaction knowing that I AM!!!
Keep listening and learning to do the things I tell you.
You must wait!!!
Don’t be anxious. Don’t worry. Don’t look around at
The things other have gotten or I have given them.
Don’t look at the things you think you want.
You just keep looking off and away at ME.
Or you’ll miss what I want to show you.
And, then, when you are ready,
I’ll surprise you with more wonderful love than
You would ever dream
You see, until you are ready and until the one I have for you is ready,
I am working, even this very minute, to have you both ready at the same time.
Until you are both satisfied exclusively with ME,
You won’t be able to experience that which exemplifies
Your relationship with ME……
This is perfect love!!!
And dear one, I want you to have the most wonderful love.
I want you to see in the flesh a picture of your relationship with ME,
And enjoy materially and concretely the everlasting union of
Beauty, perfection and love which I offer to you utterly.
I AM GOD ALMIGHTY,
Believe and be satisfied.
